World Scholar's Cup: A Global Celebration of Learning
Join us for the 2026 Toronto Regional Round of the World Scholar’s Cup, proudly hosted by Power of Words Academy. This prestigious international competition goes beyond showcasing knowledge. It’s a global celebration of teamwork, creativity, and cultural exchange, bringing together over 50,000 students from more than 60 countries.
The competition features exciting team events, including the Scholar’s Challenge, Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, and Scholar’s Bowl. Participants will develop essential skills in critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration, all within a fair and engaging environment. With divisions for Junior (ages 10-14) and Senior (ages 15-17), students can enjoy a challenge suited to their age and skill level.

Unexpected Voices Speech Competition: Empowering Young Voices for Global Impact
We are excited to announce the upcoming 2026 Unexpected Voices Speech Competition, a platform where young speakers from across Canada will share their innovative solutions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In partnership with World Speech Day and proudly sponsored by The Bishop Strachan School, this contest inspires students to articulate their ideas on some of the world’s most pressing issues with eloquence and confidence.
The competition features multiple judging rounds based on age groups (ages 7-16), with exciting prizes awarded for outstanding performances. Beyond personal growth, this event provides students with a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact within their communities and develop essential skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
